Friday’s Feature: mom and girl reading Girls, Math, and Science

I haven’t featured a blog or post in a while, so I thought I would share this site with you, which was introduced to me by a young woman on Facebook. The blog is called Skinny Scoop, which provides lists compiled by individual users. This particular page highlights Eden Godsoe’s list of toys for girls called “Toys and Tips to Feed A Girl’s Love of Building, Math and Science,” and it lists various educational games that inspire girls to dream big, build things, and enjoy their natural inclination towards academics, especially math and science. From train sets to the original Legos intended for building to exposing girls to positive female role models, this is a fantastic and well-fashioned page intended for parents with girls. If you scan her page, you will also find a list she includes on Science camps for girls.

Thank you to Eden for a great list of empowering games and toys that keep children’s intellectual curiosity sparked, whether they are boys or girls.
