I just came across a great project for our daughters through a blogging buddy, Erin, who blogs and provides excellent resources about the impediments of media upon our children at Marketing, Media, and Childhood. From Erin, I learned about a new project, a documentary called The History of the Universe as Told By Wonder Woman, which examines the role of female superheroes and warriors in comic books — and thus reveals certain aspects about our society and the way it views women.
Almost finished with the project, a bit more money is needed, and as incentives go, they are offering to place your name in the film’s credits for just a $35 contribution. For more information on the project and donating money for the completion of this project, please go here.

I’m seeing this on other sites. For me it was She-Ra “Princess of Power”. I loved the empowerment and femininity of that character when I was a child. Remembering that really instills for me the importance of supporting this project.
Thanks!
You’re welcome, Heather. And thanks for being such a great Blogging “friend.” I can always count on you to read and comment. I hope you feel the same way about me.
Hi Marina,

I’m a very loyal person and it’s funny how it is translating into my blogging friendships.
